Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground chicken or turkey
  • 0.33 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger, minced
  • 2 stalks Green onions, thinly sliced
  • 0.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 0 Non-stick cooking spray
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin sauce (for serving)
  • 1 tsp Sriracha (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey, panko breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, sliced green onions, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Using your hands or a spoon, mix until all the ingredients are evenly combined, but do not over-mix, as this can make the meatballs tough.

Step 4

Portion the mixture into 16 even-sized meatballs (about 1 1/2 inches in diameter), rolling gently with your hands. Place them on the prepared baking sheet with space between each meatball.

Step 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatballs reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 6

While the meatballs are baking, prepare your dipping sauce by combining hoisin sauce and sriracha in a small bowl (optional for an extra kick of heat).

Step 7

Once the meatballs are fully cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve warm with the hoisin-sriracha dipping sauce on the side.
