  • 1 tablespoon unsulfured molasses
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 120 milliliters water

Directions

Step 1

Core and roughly chop the tomatoes. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic cloves.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Add the tomatoes to the pot. Stir well and cook for 10 minutes, or until the tomatoes begin to break down and release juice.

Step 4

Pour in the water and apple cider vinegar. Stir in the brown sugar, unsulfured molasses, Worcestershire sauce, dijon mustard, ground cinnamon, ground allspice, ground black pepper, and salt.
