Ingredients

  • 2 slices grain-free bread (Whole30-approved)
  • 2 slices compliant dairy-free cheese
  • 4 slices sugar-free Turkish sucuk (spicy sausage)
  • 1 tablespoon ghee or clarified butter
  • 0.5 medium, thinly sliced ripe tomato
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Heat a non-stick skillet or pan over medium heat and add the ghee or clarified butter, allowing it to melt and coat the pan evenly.

Step 2

Add the slices of sucuk (spicy sausage) to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until they are browned and slightly crispy. Remove the sucuk from the pan and set aside.

Step 3

Place one slice of grain-free bread on a clean surface. Layer the dairy-free cheese slices, cooked sucuk, and thin tomato slices on top. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt and black pepper for added flavor.

Step 4

Top with the second slice of grain-free bread to form a sandwich.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to medium-low. Place the sandwich into the same pan used for the sucuk and press it down gently with a spatula or a sandwich press if available. This will help achieve a golden crust and melt the cheese.

Step 6

Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes, or until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step 7

Remove the toast from the pan, slice it diagonally for presentation, and serve immediately while warm and crispy.
