  • 28 ounces crushed tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 cup fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Chop the onion, carrots, and celery into small, even-sized pieces. Mince the garlic cloves finely.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté for about 8-10 minutes until the vegetables are softened and the onion becomes translucent.

Add the minced garlic to the pot and cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
