Ingredients

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef (grass-fed preferred)
  • 28 oz canned crushed tomatoes (no sugar added)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste (no sugar added)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast (for a cheesy flavor, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and the grain-free pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the diced onion and saute until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
