Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 medium, diced Onion
  • 3 minced Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 8 large Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 diced Tomato
  • 1 sliced Avocado
  • 0.25 cup, chopped Cilantro
  • 1 cut into wedges Lime
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.

Step 2

Once the oil is hot, add the diced onion and cook for about 3 minutes, until softened.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for another 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 7 minutes, breaking it up with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

Step 5

Stir in the cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the spices are evenly distributed and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 6

Remove the skillet from heat and set aside.

Step 7

To assemble the tacos, lay the romaine lettuce leaves flat on a serving platter or individual plates.

Step 8

Spoon the beef mixture evenly onto the lettuce leaves.

Step 9

Top each taco with diced tomato, sliced avocado, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro.

Step 10

Serve with lime wedges on the side to squeeze over the tacos for added zest.
