Ingredients

  • 1 pound Lump crab meat
  • 0.5 cup Almond flour
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Whole30-compliant mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Chives, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, gently combine the crab meat, almond flour, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped chives, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 3

Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add the coconut oil. Once the oil is shimmering, add the crabcakes to the skillet.

Step 4

Cook the crabcakes for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and heated through. Be careful when flipping them to maintain their shape.

Step 5

Once cooked, transfer the crabcakes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Step 6

Serve the crabcakes immediately, accompanied by a wedge of lemon and extra chives, if desired.
