  • 1 can (13.5 oz) coconut cream
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 5 large eggs
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.25 cup water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the coconut sugar and water. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Allow the mixture to come to a gentle boil, without stirring. Continue cooking until the syrup turns a deep amber color, about 6-8 minutes.

Immediately pour the caramelized sugar into a 9-inch round cake pan, tilting to coat the bottom evenly. Set aside to cool and harden.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the coconut cream, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and sea salt until smooth.
