Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 pieces garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.25 cup water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika on both sides.

Step 3

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear each side for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté the garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and sauté for another 2-3 minutes. Pour in the water and lemon juice, and stir to combine.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Remove the skillet from the oven. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the chicken and broccoli.
