Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 cup tapioca flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.25 cup ghee, cold and cubed
  • 3 eggs, large
  • 0.5 cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons plain unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, tapioca flour, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and sea salt until well combined.

Step 3

Add the cold, cubed ghee to the dry ingredients. Using a pastry cutter or your fingertips, cut the ghee into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Stir in the nutritional yeast and almond milk until fully incorporated.

Step 5

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour the wet ingredients into the well. Gently fold the ingredients together until a dough forms. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Stir in the chopped chives, distributing them evenly throughout the dough.

Step 7

Scoop out portions of dough (about a 1/4 cup each) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and set in the middle.

Step 9

Allow the biscuits to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely or serve warm.
