Ingredients

  • 1 cups water
  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, sliced
  • 1 pinch nutmeg, grated
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.

Step 2

Once boiling, add the black tea bags, cinnamon stick, whole cloves, cardamom pods, ginger slices, grated nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to low and allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes to let the spices infuse.

Remove the saucepan from heat and discard the tea bags.
