  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon pepper

Directions

Step 1

Place the cashews in a bowl and cover them with water. Soak them for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. This softens the cashews, making them easier to blend and resulting in a creamier texture.

Step 2

Once soaked, drain and rinse the cashews thoroughly under cold water to remove any residues or phytic acid.

Transfer the soaked cashews to a high-powered blender.

Step 4

Add 0.75 cup of fresh water, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the blender.

Step 5

Blend at high speed until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy. This may take 3-5 minutes depending on the power of your blender. If necessary, stop to scrape down the sides of the blender.
