Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 small, finely chopped Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut aminos
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Arrowroot powder
  • 2 tablespoons Cold water

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, almond flour, coconut aminos, and egg. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1 inch thick.

Step 3

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add the beef patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the patties from the skillet and set them aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of ghee. Pour in the beef broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix the arrowroot powder with cold water until smooth. Slowly add this mixture to the skillet, stirring constantly. Bring to a simmer and cook until the gravy thickens, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 6

Return the beef patties to the skillet and spoon the gravy over them. Simmer for an additional 2 minutes to heat the patties through.

Step 7

Serve the beef patties hot, topped with the savory gravy.
