Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 1 cup, shredded Cabbage
  • 3 stalks Green onions
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1.5 cups Almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon Arrowroot starch
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Start by preparing the filling: finely chop the green onions and mince the garlic cloves and ginger. In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, shredded cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, and ginger.

Step 2

Add 2 tablespoons of coconut aminos and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil to the beef mixture. Mix everything well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 3

To make the dumpling wrapper, in a large bowl, combine the almond flour, arrowroot starch, and salt. Whisk to combine, then make a well in the center.

Step 4

Crack the egg into the well and add 2 tablespoons of water. Mix together with a fork until a dough begins to form. Knead the dough with clean hands for about 2 minutes until it is smooth and pliable. If the dough is too sticky, add a bit more almond flour.

Step 5

Divide the dough into 20 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Place the dough balls between two sheets of parchment paper and flatten them out into thin circles using a rolling pin.

Step 6

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the beef mixture onto the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal. You may need to use a bit of water on the edges to help seal the dumplings.

Step 7

Heat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the dumplings in batches, taking care not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 8

Cook the dumplings for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden and the beef is cooked through. Adjust the heat as necessary to prevent burning.

Step 9

Serve the dumplings warm, along with the remaining 1 tablespoon of coconut aminos for dipping. Enjoy your Whole30 beef dumplings immediately.
