Ingredients

  • 1 ball (about 12-inch size) Pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 cup Fontina cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 pieces Clams or mussels, cleaned
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat while you prepare the pizza.

Step 2

Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle. Place it on a parchment-lined pizza peel or baking sheet.

Step 3

In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 4

Add the heavy cream to the saucepan and stir well. Let it simmer gently for 2 minutes, then stir in the grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for another minute until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

Step 5

Brush the edges of the pizza dough with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Spread the garlic cream sauce evenly over the center of the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Step 6

Sprinkle the mozzarella and fontina cheeses evenly over the sauce.

Step 7

Arrange the shrimp and clams (or mussels) evenly across the pizza. If using clams or mussels, make sure they’re fresh and tightly closed before placing them on the pizza.

Step 8

Season the pizza with salt, black pepper, and optional crushed red pepper flakes.

Step 9

Carefully transfer the pizza to the oven (onto the pizza stone if using) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown, the cheese is bubbly, and the shellfish are cooked through (shrimp should be opaque, and clams/mussels should open—discard any that do not open).

Step 10

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for 2 minutes. Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top before slicing and serving.

Step 11

Enjoy your White Pizza with Shellfish immediately while it's hot!
