Directions

Step 1

Place the milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth. Allow the melted chocolate to cool to room temperature.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter using an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes.

Gradually sift in the powdered sugar, beating on low speed initially to avoid a sugar cloud. Increase to medium speed and continue beating until well incorporated, about another 2 minutes.
