Ingredients

  • 400 grams soft (silken) tofu

  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 cups water

Directions

Step 1

Carefully remove the silken tofu from its packaging and set it aside on a plate.

Heat 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan until it is just about to simmer (do not boil).

Gently slide the tofu into the warm water using a slotted spoon, and let it warm for about 3-4 minutes.

While the tofu is warming, prepare the spicy garlic sauce. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, red chili flakes, and honey (or maple syrup). Stir until well combined and set aside.
