Ingredients

  • 4 4 oz patties Wagyu beef patties
  • 4 buns Brioche buns
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese slices
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 medium Yellow onion
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 8 slices Pickles

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Slice the yellow onion thinly. In a skillet, add 2 tbsp of olive oil and heat over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and caramelized, about 10 minutes. Set aside.

Step 3

Mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and Dijon mustard in a small bowl to create the special sauce. Set aside.

Step 4

Season the Wagyu beef patties evenly on both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 5

Place the patties on the preheated grill or skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness, flipping once.

Step 6

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Step 7

Cut the brioche buns in half and butter each side lightly. Toast the buns on the grill or a skillet until golden brown.

Step 8

Slice the tomato into four even slices.

Step 9

Assemble the burgers by spreading a generous spoonful of the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun.

Step 10

Place a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, a cooked Wagyu beef patty with melted cheese, some caramelized onions, and two pickle slices on each bun.

Step 11

Finish with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
