Ingredients

  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • 1 cup Raspberries
  • 1 cup Strawberries (hulled and sliced)
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 cup Old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar (packed)
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour (for topping)
  • 6 tablespoons Unsalted butter (cold and cubed)
  • 0.25 cup Chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray and set aside.

Step 2

Peel, core, and slice the Granny Smith apples into thin wedges.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries.

Step 4

Sprinkle the fruit mixture with granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons of flour, ground cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat, then transfer the fruit mixture to the prepared baking dish.

Step 5

In a separate medium mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour, and salt.

Step 6

Using a pastry cutter, fork, or your fingers, cut the cold butter into the oat mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. If using nuts, stir them in at this point.

Step 7

Evenly sprinkle the oat topping over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit mixture is bubbling.

Step 9

Remove the baking dish from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Step 10

Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
