Ingredients

  • 300 grams plant-based pork strips
  • 200 grams extra firm tofu
  • 1 large red onion
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 lime
  • 2 green chilies
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 stalks scallions
  • 1 for garnish lemon

Directions

Step 1

Start by pressing the extra firm tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. After pressing, cut it into small cubes.

Step 2

Finely chop the red onion and garlic cloves. Slice the green chilies thinly. Chop the scallions for garnish and set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the tofu cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the chopped onions and garlic for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the plant-based pork strips to the skillet. Stir-fry for 5 minutes or until they are slightly browned.
