  • 2 teaspoons Fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 large Eggs, lightly beaten
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the chopped onion, celery, carrot, and garlic until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

Step 3

Place the bread cubes in a large bowl; pour the cooked vegetable mixture over the bread cubes.

Step 4

Add vegetable broth to the bread mixture and stir until the bread is well moistened.

Step 5

Mix in the chopped parsley, sage, thyme, salt, and black pepper into the bread mixture until fully incorporated.

Step 6

Add the lightly beaten eggs to the mixture, stirring until everything is well combined. For an optional extra cheesy flavor, fold in the grated Parmesan cheese.

Step 7

Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, approximately 2 inches in diameter, and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the stuffing balls are golden brown and firm to the touch.

Step 9

Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy these stuffing balls as a delicious side dish or snack.
