Ingredients

  • 16 oz Extra-firm tofu
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 3 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp Parsley, freshly chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 6 Wooden skewers

Directions

Step 1

Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.

Step 2

In a bowl, mince the garlic cloves finely.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, lemon zest, freshly chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to form the marinade.

Step 4

Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and gently toss until all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the tofu to absorb the flavors.

Step 5

Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 10 minutes to prevent them from burning during grilling.

Step 6

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

Step 7

Thread the marinated tofu cubes onto the soaked skewers, evenly distributing them.

Step 8

Place the skewers on the grill or grill pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until the tofu is golden brown and slightly charred.

Step 9

Baste occasionally with the remaining marinade during grilling for extra flavor.

Step 10

Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot, garnished with additional chopped parsley if desired.
