Directions

Step 1

Press the tofu: Drain the tofu and wrap it in a clean kitchen towel. Place it between two plates and weigh it down with a heavy object for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.

Prepare the marinade: In a bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Slice the pressed tofu into 6 equal pieces and place them in the marinade, ensuring they are fully submerged. Marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
