  • 28 ounces Crushed tomatoes (canned)
  • 15 ounces Tomato sauce (canned)
  • 6 ounces Tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons Dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 0.5 teaspoons Red pepper flakes
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh basil, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.

Step 2

Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
