Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 cups vegetable oil for frying

Directions

Step 1

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 2

Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 3

Add the cabbage, carrots, and bean sprouts to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.

Step 4

Stir in the green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, then remove the skillet from heat. Let the mixture cool slightly.

Lay one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner pointed towards you, forming a diamond shape.

Place about 2 tablespoons of the vegetable filling near the center of the wrapper.

Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold the side corners in, forming an envelope shape.
