Ingredients

  • 1 cup, finely shredded cabbage
  • 0.5 cup, grated carrot
  • 0.5 cup, finely chopped shiitake mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons, finely chopped green onions
  • 0.5 cup, firm and crumbled tofu
  • 1 teaspoon, grated ginger
  • 2 cloves, minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 30 pieces dumpling wrappers
  • 0.25 cup, for frying vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the finely shredded cabbage, grated carrot, chopped shiitake mushrooms, chopped green onions, crumbled tofu, grated ginger, and minced garlic.

Step 2

Add the soy sauce and sesame oil to the bowl and mix all the ingredients until well combined.

Step 3

Take one dumpling wrapper and place a spoonful of the filling in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it over, and pinch the edges together to seal. Repeat with remaining filling and wrappers.

Step 4

Heat vegetable oil in a large non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the dumplings in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 5

Fry the dumplings on one side until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
