Ingredients

  • 4 slices Whole grain bread slices
  • 6 slices Vegetarian 'ham' slices
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese slices
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium, sliced Tomato
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Start by preparing the vegetables. Rinse the lettuce leaves under cool water and gently pat them dry with a clean paper towel.

Step 2

Slice the tomato into thin, even slices, and set them aside.

Step 3

Place the whole grain bread slices on a clean working surface. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Step 4

Take two of the slices of bread and spread a teaspoon of Dijon mustard on the unbuttered side of each.

Step 5

Layer 3 slices of vegetarian 'ham' on each of the mustard-spread bread slices.

Step 6

Add 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of the 'ham' slices.
