Ingredients

  • 200 grams Plant-based chicken
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, minced
  • 1 Red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 Scallions, chopped
  • 1 Carrot, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 6 Bao buns
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 0.25 cup Cilantro leaves, for garnish

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger.

Step 2

Add the plant-based chicken to the marinade and let it sit for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Step 3

While the chicken is marinating, prepare the vegetables by slicing the red bell pepper and chopping the scallions. Julienne the carrot.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the marinated plant-based chicken along with any remaining marinade. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
