Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Vegetarian chicken-style patties
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 1 medium Red onion
  • 4 slices Pickles
  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 4 teaspoons Mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Slice the tomato into 1/4-inch thick slices and the red onion into thin rings. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Once the oil is hot, add the vegetarian chicken-style patties. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and heated through.

Step 4

Place a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover the skillet with a lid to help melt the cheese.

Step 5

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them if desired.

Step 6

Spread a tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Add a tablespoon of ketchup and a teaspoon of mustard on top of the mayonnaise.

Step 7

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom of each bun, followed by a slice of tomato, a slice of pickle, and a few rings of red onion.

Step 8

Once the cheese has melted on the patties, remove them from the skillet and place them on top of the vegetables on the buns.

Step 9

Season the patties with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 10

Finish the burger by placing the top half of the bun over the patty. Serve immediately and enjoy!
