Ingredients

  • 1 15-ounce can Canned chickpeas
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil
  • 4 pieces Hamburger buns
  • 8 pieces Pickle slices
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 4 pieces Tomato slices
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise

Directions

Step 1

Drain and rinse the can of chickpeas. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

Step 2

In a food processor, combine chickpeas and the egg. Pulse until a coarse consistency is achieved.

Step 3

Transfer chickpea mixture to a large mixing bowl. Add bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Form the mixture into four equal-sized patties.

Dredge each patty in all-purpose flour, making sure they are fully coated and shake off the excess flour.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
