Ingredients

  • 200 grams rice vermicelli (bee hoon)
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • 100 grams cabbage
  • 100 grams bean sprouts
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 liter water

Directions

Step 1

Soak the rice vermicelli in a large bowl with hot water for about 10 minutes or until they are tender. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Peel and julienne the carrot.

Step 3

Deseed and slice the bell pepper into thin strips.

Step 4

Thinly slice the cabbage and set aside.

Step 5

Rinse the bean sprouts and green onions thoroughly. Cut the green onions into 5 cm lengths.

Step 6

Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves.

Step 7

In a large wok or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.

Add the chopped garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
