Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Vegetarian bacon strips
  • 4 slices Gouda cheese
  • 2 whole Ciabatta rolls
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 4 leaves Lettuce
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 1 small Red onion
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.

Step 2

Cook the vegetarian bacon strips in the skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until they are crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

Slice the ciabatta rolls in half and spread butter on the cut sides of each half.

Step 4

Place the ciabatta rolls, buttered side down, on the skillet and toast them until lightly golden, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet.

Spread mayonnaise on the toasted sides of each ciabatta half.

Step 6

Wash and dry the lettuce leaves. Layer the bottom halves of the ciabatta with lettuce leaves.
