Ingredients

  • 400 grams fresh green beans
  • 10 slices vegetarian bacon strips
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir well to create a marinade.

Step 4

Place the green beans in a large mixing bowl and pour the marinade over them. Toss the green beans until they are evenly coated with the marinade.

Step 5

Take a small bundle of about 6-8 green beans and wrap a slice of vegetarian bacon around the center of the bundle. Secure the bacon slice with a toothpick if necessary to hold the bundle together.

Step 6

Place the green bean bundles on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat the process until all the green beans are wrapped.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the vegetarian bacon is crispy and the green beans are tender.

Step 8

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the bundles cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
