Ingredients

  • 3 medium (about 500g) Potatoes
  • 1 cup Green peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds (crushed)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (minced)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 small Green chilies (finely chopped, optional)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon Amchur (dry mango powder)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro (fresh, finely chopped)

Directions

Step 1

Peel and dice the potatoes into small cubes.

Step 2

Place the diced potatoes into a pot, cover with water, and boil until just tender (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.

Step 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the cumin seeds and crushed coriander seeds. Let them sizzle for 30 seconds until aromatic.
