Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Whole-wheat pita bread
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 medium Bell pepper (red or yellow)
  • 1 small Red onion
  • 0.25 cup Black olives
  • 8 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.

Step 2

Place the pita breads on the prepared baking sheet and brush each one lightly with olive oil.

Step 3

Spread 2-3 tablespoons of tomato sauce evenly over each pita, leaving a small border around the edges.
