  • 2 tablespoons Maple syrup

  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.3333 cup Baking soda
  • 5 cups Water
  • 3 tablespoons Vegan butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Coarse sea salt

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, active dry yeast, and maple syrup. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.

Incorporate the all-purpose flour and salt into the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

Step 3

Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Place the kneaded dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
