  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 3 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine with 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.

Step 2

Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes.

While the rice is cooking, prepare the marinade for the vegan beef strips. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, black pepper, minced garlic, and ginger.
