Ingredients

  • 2 cans Young green jackfruit
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 large Garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1.5 cups BBQ sauce
  • 4 whole Burger buns
  • 1 cup Vegan coleslaw
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Drain and rinse the jackfruit. Cut away the core and discard the seeds, then shred the jackfruit pieces with a fork to create a pulled texture.

Step 2

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté for 5 minutes until the onion is translucent.

Add the paprika, smoked paprika, ground cumin, and chili powder to the skillet. Stir and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the shredded jackfruit to the skillet, stirring to coat with the spice mixture. Cook for 5 minutes.
