Ingredients

  • 500 grams potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 300 milliliters neutral oil for frying

Directions

Step 1

Peel and chop the potatoes into even chunks, then place them in a pot of cold water.

Step 2

Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes completely and set aside to cool slightly.

Step 3

Mash the cooled potatoes in a mixing bowl until smooth.

Step 4

Add cornstarch, all-purpose flour, turmeric powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.

Take a piece of plastic wrap or a parchment paper and lightly coat it with some oil.
