  • 350 grams Penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil

  • 3 cloves, minced Garlic
  • 800 grams (or 2 cans) Crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Nutritional yeast
  • 0.5 cup Raw cashews
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 10 grams (or a handful, chopped, for garnish) Fresh basil
  • 4 cups (for boiling pasta) Water

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to the pot.
