Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, melt the vegan butter over low heat. Once melted, set aside to cool slightly.

In a mixing bowl, combine the almond milk and water and warm them to about body temperature (37°C or 98°F).

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.

Pour the warm almond milk and water mixture into the dry ingredients, followed by the melted vegan butter.

Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon or a dough hook attachment on a stand mixer until it comes together to form a rough dough.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes by hand (or 5-7 minutes with a stand mixer) until it's smooth and elastic.
