  • 4 medium, thinly sliced Onions
  • 0.75 cup Besan (Chickpea Flour)

  • 1 large, chopped Tomato
  • 0.5 cup Coconut Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Fresh Cilantro Leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Directions

Step 1

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Step 2

Add 0.5 teaspoon of mustard seeds and let them splutter for a few seconds.

Step 3

Add the thinly sliced onions to the pan and sauté until they become translucent, about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the chopped tomato to the onions and cook until the tomatoes are soft, about 3-4 minutes.

In a bowl, mix 0.75 cup of besan (chickpea flour) with 2 cups of water until smooth and lump-free.
