Add the olive oil, salt, and about half of the flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined.
Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing to form a slightly sticky dough. If using a stand mixer, knead with the dough hook attachment for about 5 minutes on medium speed, or knead by hand on a floured surface for about 7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
