Ingredients

  • 200 grams raw hazelnuts
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon sea salt
  • 0.25 cup plant milk (such as almond or soy milk)
  • 4 slices vegan bread
  • 1 sliced banana
  • 6 halved strawberries

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until the skins begin to crack and the nuts are golden.

Step 2

Remove the hazelnuts from the oven and let them cool slightly. Once cooled enough to handle, rub them in a clean kitchen towel to remove as much of the skin as possible.

Place the hazelnuts into a food processor. Blend on high speed until they turn into a smooth butter, scraping down the sides as needed.
