Ingredients

  • 400 grams Canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1 medium Red onion, chopped
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
  • 30 grams Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 60 grams All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 10 pieces Wooden skewers, soaked in water

Directions

Step 1

In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, chopped red onion, minced garlic, and fresh parsley. Pulse until coarsely blended.

Step 2

Add ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the chickpea mixture and pulse again to combine.

Step 3

Transfer the mixture to a bowl, and stir in the flour and lemon juice until well blended.

Step 4

Form the mixture into small, oval-shaped kebabs approximately the size of a walnut.

Insert a soaked wooden skewer into each kebab, being careful not to push too hard.
