Ingredients

  • 250 grams All-purpose flour
  • 150 grams Vegan butter
  • 60 milliliters Cold water
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 150 grams Fruit jam (e.g., strawberry, raspberry)
  • 2 tablespoons Plant-based milk
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt.

Step 2

Cut the vegan butter into small cubes and add them to the flour mixture.

Step 3

Using your fingers or a pastry cutter, blend the butter into the flour until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 4

Slowly add the cold water into the mixture, stirring until the dough starts to come together. Do not overmix.

Step 5

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently a few times until it forms a cohesive ball.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 18-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown.
