Ingredients

  • 400 grams Whole grain bread
  • 60 milliliters Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried dill
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 2

Cut the whole grain bread into small cubes, approximately 1 cm in size.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to create a seasoning mixture.

Step 4

Add the bread cubes to the bowl with the seasoning mixture. Toss the bread cubes until all pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning.

Step 5

Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bread cubes are golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through to ensure even baking.

Step 7

Once baked, remove the sukhariki from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet.

Step 8

Store the cooled sukhariki in an airtight container for up to two weeks. Enjoy them as a snack, or add them to your favorite soups and salads for extra crunch.
