Ingredients

  • 4 steaks Seitan
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons Vegan butter
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper to make a marinade.

Step 2

Place the seitan steaks in a large shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Turn the steaks in the marinade to ensure they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.

Step 3

While the seitan steaks marinate, prepare the herbed butter. In a mixing bowl, combine the vegan butter, chopped parsley, chopped thyme, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated. Set aside at room temperature to allow flavors to meld.

Step 4

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.

Step 5

Remove the seitan steaks from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off.

Step 6

Grill the seitan steaks for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are well browned with nice grill marks and heated through. Be cautious not to overcook, as seitan can become tough.

Step 7

Transfer the grilled seitan steaks to a serving platter.

Step 8

Spoon the herbed butter over the hot steaks, allowing it to melt and infuse the steaks with flavor.

Step 9

Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
