Ingredients

  • 400 grams Firm tofu
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 400 milliliters Tomato sauce
  • 400 grams Canned diced tomatoes
  • 10 leaves Fresh basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Press the tofu to remove excess water by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top. Let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 2

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and soy sauce.

Cut the pressed tofu into 1/2-inch thick slices resembling chicken fillets.

Brush both sides of the tofu slices with the prepared marinade and let them sit for at least 5 minutes to absorb flavors.
