Ingredients

  • 300 grams Vegan ground meat substitute
  • 1 cup Green cabbage
  • 1 medium Carrot
  • 2 stalks Green onion
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Pepper
  • 30 pieces Vegan wonton wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Finely shred the green cabbage and carrot. Mince the garlic and ginger. Slice the green onions thinly.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the vegan ground meat substitute, shredded cabbage, shredded carrot, minced garlic, minced ginger, sliced green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

Step 3

Take a vegan wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling mixture in the center.

Step 4

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water using your finger or a brush. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle or square, depending on the wrapper shape.

Step 5

Press the edges tightly to seal, ensuring there are no gaps and remove any air from inside.

Step 6

Repeat the process for the remaining wrappers and filling.

Step 7

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

Step 8

Place the dumplings in the pan in a single layer, and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the bottom turns golden brown.

Step 9

Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the pan and cover with a lid. Allow the dumplings to steam for another 5 minutes.

Step 10

Remove the lid and continue to cook until the water evaporates and the bottoms become crispy once more, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 11

Remove from heat and serve the dumplings hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
